Thursday. I try Kalorienmonster together with Ben, from New-Zealand. A photographer from England, www.hi-jinks.co.uk, joins us for a photo shoot. Derzou having a week rest, his fingers are tired from the Magic Wood crimps.

Friday. Derzou has an appointment with the dendist in Chur, one of his filled teeth has broken off. Later we go to the Aldi in Thusis.

Saturday. Together we climb much and easy boulders, such as the high boulder ‘Blue sky of mine, 6A+’. We don’t do more than three attempts in each boulder that we try (sometimes it isn’t even enough to climb an easy one).

Sunday. Hanging around in Guesthouse Edelweiss. Since Bodhi Climbing is opening Edelweiss, climbers can, except eating and drinking, visit the lounge for internet, charging, watching a movie, buying climbing gear or even bouldering indoor.

Monday. Hiking in the surroundings of Ausserferrera and internet at Edelweiss.

Tuesday. Rest day.

Wednesday. Climbing in some projects together with Marion, Christopher and Markus. Derzou tries Du cote de Seshuan, 7C+ with Joonas from Finland.

Thursday. Joonas, from Finland, leaves and goes rope climbing in Ceuse, France. After breakfast we hike from the campground to Cresta, than to Ausserferrera and back. Cresta is a village at 1660m altitude, were people live in the summer.

The surrounding is breathtaking and a wellness for the lungs. In the evening we say goodbye to our German neighbors, Christopher and his brother Markus. Christopher accompanied us for 6 weeks in Magic Wood (living in the fancy, orange-striped camper, having bad breaks, bad handling, slow as a tractor, but great to live in).
We will miss ‘tze Tzermans’.

Today. Internet at Edelweiss and maybe later explore some high boulders with a rope.

Thursday. After a week rain, and resting, I’m climbing again. I try the route La Boume de Luxe, 7B. I was very close, still needed to climb two more moves out of the sixteen moves. Derzou tries the route Du cote de Seshuan, 7C+, together with our German neighbors.

Friday. We hang around with Jan and Nathalie, Nathalie does some good attempts in Blown Away, 7B and Jan in Deepthroath, 8B.

Sunday. I try the route Kalorienmonster, 7C, together with Marion from Bodhi Climbing.

Monday. Taking three day's rest, enjoy the warm sunny days, do some laundry, hanging around in Edelweiss..

Tuesday. We’re glad to meet some Belgians. Derzou, Jan Gorrebeeck & Jan de Smit climbing together on the boulders ‘Free for all’ and ‘Jacks broken heart’.

Wednesday. Myself, Gina & Nathalie try the route Blown Away, 7B. Derzou tries the route Slopie joe,7A+ & Gina the route Enterprice, 7A.


 







Thursday. Shopping to Lidl and Aldi in the nearby village, Thusis.

Friday. Rest day.

Sunday. Since Friday a lot of rain, the boulders are wet. Together with Jan & Co we check the route Schnee Brett, 7C. Derzou sends the route in the rain (only the top out is wet). Jan de Smit tries Schnee Sturm, 7C+.

Monday. Derzou finds a moment in between the rain to try the second part of the ‘Neverending Story’ and ‘Nothing Changes’ together with Australian climber, Roman, and American climber, Chris.

Today. Non-stop raining, instead of three day’s rest I’ve a week rest now. From tomorrow the weather will be better, I hope the boulders dry quickly.

Thursday. Try to find a solution for the top out in Red Roses. My solution is a mantel with the left hand. I’m tired, a couple of days rest.

Sunday. Together with Jonas, a German neighbor, we drive all the way up the road from Magic Wood. At the end you arrive in Juf, the highest continuously inhabited, village of Europe (located at 2126m).

Monday. I send the route Red Roses, 7A+. This is the most beautiful boulder I’ve ever climbed, I think not only because of the nice line but also because of the search for different methods, since my small stature.

Tuesday. Derzou sends the route Fightclub, 7C+.

Wednesday. I do a few attempts in La Boum de Luxe, 7B. I send the route Kavamurra, 7A.

Thursday. Derzou sends the route Kalorienmonster, 7C.
